    Troubleshoot Ally in ChatGPT

Answers for the most common questions about connecting Ally to ChatGPT and controlling what it can see.

    Common issues

    • I cannot find Ally in ChatGPT

Ally is not currently publicly listed. Public availability will be announced on the Ally for ChatGPT overview page. Availability and labels can also vary by ChatGPT plan, workspace, role, region, and surface.

    • Sign-in or consent did not complete

Return to ChatGPT and start the connection flow again. If the browser did not return you to ChatGPT, close the tab and retry. Make sure you are signing in to the correct Ally account.

    • My aquatic spaces are missing

The connector shows only spaces on the signed-in Ally account. Confirm you signed in with the right account and that the spaces exist in Ally.

    • The result is not current

Tools return the data as stored in Ally at the moment of the request. If you recently made changes in the Ally app, save them and ask ChatGPT again so it re-fetches the data.

    • ChatGPT did not use the expected Ally tool

Rephrase your prompt to name the space or task explicitly. Prompts like the ones on the How to use page reliably call the matching tool.

    • I want to change data or complete a task

The connection is read-only. Make the change in the Ally app, then ask ChatGPT again so it retrieves the updated data.

    • I want to disconnect Ally in ChatGPT

Open ChatGPT app or connector settings and disconnect Ally there. That stops future tool access from ChatGPT.

    • I want to remove prior data from ChatGPT

Manage past ChatGPT conversations, memory, and data controls inside ChatGPT. Ally cannot delete ChatGPT conversations or memories.
